Somalia's largest oil and gas company tries to prevent moratorium on oil deals

SOMA Oil & Gas Holdings, a UK based explorer currently being investigated by Great Britain's Serious Fraud Office (SFO), has allegedly asked the British government to help block a United Nation's plan to put a moratorium on oil deals in Somalia.

The SOMA website indicates it has already spent 40-million US dollars surveying off shore oil opportunities in the troubled country.

SOMA is the most active oil company in Somalia.
