Tanzania and India are set to sign a series of cooperation agreements,
one of which would include counter terrorism efforts and maritime security.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the announcement in New Delhi
on Friday (19th).
Addressing the issue of terrorism, the Prime Minister said that India
and Tanzania have agreed to set-up a joint working group to strengthen the
cooperation in counter-terrorism.
"Terrorism in our respective regions is a concern for both
countries. We have agreed to establish a joint working group to strengthen our
cooperation in counter-terrorism," he said.
India is Tanzania’s largest trading partner at over 4-billion US
dollars a year.
