Sources report a truck has been hijacked by suspected Al Shabab militants as it was transporting food from Mandera to Garissa.
Reports indicate the hijackers then drove in the direction of the Kenya-Somalia border.
Kenya Defense Forces personnel are believed to be in pursuit.
