They went on to say that he was a student in Uganda before traveling to Kenya where they believe he may have joined the rebels.
After a meeting of the national assembly cabinet it was announced that will be tabling a mandate that extends the life current parliament & President until 9th July 2017, this come only days after the High Court announced it would allow a hearing on the petition of 18 parties to postpone the elections.
The National Assembly has admitted that it has all but closed down due to lack of funds; the Speaker of the House cited the reasons behind this were the lack of oil revenue with the Bentiu site having been closed down and the Upper Nile sites only working a low capacity.
The Minister of Information & Broadcasting has threatened to close down all UN operations after their radio station aired an interview with a rebel leader. Michael Makuei has also in the past reportedly commented that POC’s are legitimate targets because the UN is habouring rebels within them.
Fears of increased crime in Juba and the rest of the country are rising due to the issues of unpaid salaries to security services and the continued economic situation.
