Warrior Security sources report the armed robbery of a passenger bus and lorry on the Nimule Road at approximately 1500 hours yesterday 12th April 2013.
Multiple gunmen on both sides of the road attempted to detain a passenger bus in the village of Nesitu, approximately 30 minutes south of Juba. The driver was shot in the arm, but refused to stop and continued in the direction of Juba.
A lorry following the bus was forced off the road and robbed of foodstuffs, which were transferred to a vehicle and offloaded in the bush. There were no further casualties.
The identity of the attackers is not known at this stage, but early details have been verified by official sources.
