Operations manager reports on following road reconnaissance just carried out in Warrior armoured vehicle:
1) From Hamza Inn (Juba Old Town) down the back road past JIT to where Sahara hotel used to be. Crossed to the other side all the way to behind DHL and back.
2) From Hamza down past the stadium to near AFEX - then branched right towards Bros Hotel and then left back up to the paved road to the bridge. (stopped by police and searched near the turn to Oasis…they wanted my body armour but then let us go - then stopped by soldiers who refused us to get to even where the RMA yard is.) The bridge was open earlier but is closed again. The border at Nimule is closed as well.
3) From there we we turned around back through Konyo Konyo, turned right before reaching James apartments, then back past the stadium.
-- Fighting in Munuki, Gudele, Gudele 2, Ministries (near Riak's house), Jebel Market, Nimratalata, Presidential Palace, and Bilpam HQ.
-- Definitely appears to be descending into pockets of 3 to 10 soldiers (from one tribe) roaming around and bumping into small groups of soldiers from other the other tribe and getting in firefights.
